摘要

Norwegian transport policy aims at efficient, safe, service minded and environmental friendly transport. Multimodal ITS, covering all transport sectors, may be aa cost effective contribution to reach the desired results. Development of multimodal ITS must be done by experienced people who can provide knowledge and force to the processes. People with influence who wish things to happen have the possibility to start such processes. The development of multimodal ITS (for aviation, road, rail and sea transpor transport) requires horizontal, vertical and geographical networks of people and organisations. The collaboration processes require time and dedication from those participating. Fruitful co-operation may also contribute to the creation of new processes that enabl enablee political measures and further fulfilment of political objectives. This paper describes lessons learned in order to accomplish successful processes towards ITS for multimodal transport.
