There is a critical difference between optimizing a lift system of ordinary production well and a cyclic steam stimulated well. The inflow performance relationship (IPR) of cyclic steam stimulated well is different from the ordinary production well, in other words, the formation pressure, well bottom temperature, viscosity of formation fluid and water cut in the immediate vicinity of well bore is distributed in the progress of production or the ratio of liquid production to injection rate. As the result, the load and production of the lift system always vary in every production turn. Thus, an optimized lift system should be fitted in the whole production turn and can't be moved up and down as far as possible. This paper developed a new optimization method of cyclic steam stimulated artificial lift system. The method is based on the extensive IPR and the enumeration method in every huff and puff turn to design the proper lift system and ensure the normal production and sufficient utilization of the injected energy and volume. The method has been applied to optimize the lift system of cyclic steam stimulated wells in the heavy oil reservoir of Ying 27 Block of ShengLi Oil Field and designed a satisfied project.
