Continuous current mode high frequency link fly-back inverter design with bi-directional power flow is presented in this paper. The proposed active clamp circuit with dual-purpose is used to both solve voltage stress issue and achieve good dynamic response. Furthermore, the proposed interleaving topology is used to reduce overall size and improve power rating. Detailed operation modes, model derivation and control scheme are introduced. These proposals are verified by experimental results: 500VA prototype (from 12Vdc to 220Vac/50Hz) with 60kHz switching frequency.
