摘要

An underground system that includes the common duct system for power cables and other wires has been recommended for a no-pole city vista in the power distribution system in Japan. This paper describes the results of actual scale short-circuit experiments in terms of the internal pressure-rise of new type branch boxes due to the internal high current arcs on 6.6 kV class high-voltage power cables. The dependence of the magnitude of short-circuit current and the effect of the connection of branch boxes on the internal pressure-rise were clarified from the experimental results.
