Data quality is a critical issue for the informatization of enterprises. Geographic information systems (GIS) of distribution networks are focused on in many studies on Power GIS systems. The data quality is vital to construct distribution network GIS. In this paper, we analyze the collecting and processing of GIS data in GPS-based distribution network. On this basis, we analyze the influencing factors and manifestations of the GIS data, and propose the model of data quality management and control of distribution network GIS. A case study demonstrates the effectiveness of this model. For the data acquisition and processing of distribution network GIS based on GPS, we thoroughly describe the method to evaluate and control data quality of power distribution network GIS.
