THE WEB GIS BASED ON ASP. NET AND ITS APPLICATION IN OUTDOORS AD MEDIA QUERY SYSTEM

Since Web GIS works as the extensionof GIS on website, the Network Query becomes one of the most useful functions fields in the applicationof GIS. In the Web GIS with the Network Query as its main function, the corefunction demanded mostly by the network users is the Map Navigation, by taking advantage of which the users can acquireuseful information through clicking on the Webpage. From the technical point of view, the system of this kind which does not need to develop or secondary develop based on professional GIS can well accomplish the development of thisWeb GISby adopting popular Web developmenttechnology, if only the Relation Database with the major purpose of storing geographic information is built, as well as the webpagewith map displayas its main contents is established. In this paper, the Map Navigation Web GIS that is built by the currently prevailing ASP. Net has been studied and introduced. By taking use of this system, a Network Query solution for the outdoor AD in Beijing has been workedout.
