Jurassic of Taibei depression is important oil exploration purposes layer of Tuha Basin. Multi-year construction campaign with changeable ancient climate created its complex geological conditions of oil. In Jurassic sediment period, sediment came from the ancient rising zone in the South and North sides of the depression. The analysis data of bedrock in field shows that hydrocarbon source rock coming from the northern Bokeda mountain is bigger in granularity, poorly in sorting, lower in psephicity, and rock elements is manifested as lower content of quartz and feldspar, while higher in detritus content. It is characterized as typical near provenance, short flow causes bedrock. Instead, sediment coming from Jueluotage hill in the south is smaller in granularity, well-graded to poorly graded, higher in psephicity. And rock elements, quartz and feldspar content is higher, while detritus content is lower. It is characterized as distant sources, long process causes. In addition, separation, psephicity and rock constituent of mixed sediment are between the two sedimentary rock composition and detritus component includes neutral and acid.
