Non-halogen flame retardant epoxy resins with an nano-organomontmorilonite and ammonium polyphosphate (APP) or melamine polyphosphate (MPP) were prepared by in-situ intercalating and solution blending process. This epoxy nanocomposite containing APP or MPP has shown superior fire performance and mechanical properties.
