This paper describes a system for semanticrole labeling for the CoNLL2005 Sharedtask. We divide the task into two sub-tasks:boundary recognition by a general treebasedpredicate-argument recognition algorithmto convert a parse tree into a flat representationof all predicates and theirrelated boundaries, and role labeling by aconsensus model using a pattern-matchingframework to find suitable roles for coreconstituents and adjuncts. We describe thesystem architecture and report results forthe CoNLL2005 development dataset.
