HOLLAND’S THEORY OF VOCATIONAL CHOICE APPLIED TO THE FIELD OFNURSING

摘要

This study reports finding of an exploratory study on the use of Holland’s Theory of VocationalChoice to explain the relationship between personality trait and person-job fit in the field ofnursing. Statistical analysis of survey responses shows promise in predicting tenure andcompetence. As such, it may be possible to improve hiring practices by employing simple surveyinstruments to determine where applicants have proper personality-career fit.
