This paper examines factors which have been documented to influence the closing price ononline auctions and explores how users can use data gathered from online auctions together withthe identified factors to predict the closing price in a particular auction. A simulation model isconstructed to capture the auction process in C2C electronic auctions and to demonstrate howsimulation tools can be used to analyze the influence of various factors on the average auctionrevenue.
