摘要

To protect solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs)from chromium poisoning and improve metallicinterconnect stability,manganese cobaltite spinel protection layers with a nominal compositionof Mn1.5Co1.5O4 were thermally grown on ferritic stainless steels.Thermal,electrical andelectrochemical investigations indicated that the spinel protection layers not only significantlydecreased the contact resistance,but also effectively acted as a mass barrier to both the oxygeninward and the chromium outward diffusion.A long-term thermal cycling test demonstratedexcellent structural and thermomechanical stability of these spinel protection layers.
