Radioactive holmium loaded polymer microspheres for treatment of liver malignancies

摘要

Radioactive holmium loaded poly(L-lactic acid)microspheres have favorable properties fordetection and treatment of liver malignancies.The administration and biodistribution of thesepolymeric particles were imaged in pigs bynuclear and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). This resulted in selective catheterizationand depiction of the biodistribution. No adverseeffects of the microspheres were observed.
