Solid state interferonwasembedded into anelastomer matrix by a photocrosslinking reaction.The rate of IFNreleaseand swelling properties ofthe elastomer can be modified by the osmoticactivity generated by the formulation excipients. Thenear zero-order protein release demonstrates thepotential application in thermo-sensitive proteindelivery.
