In this study, a simple and practicable method is developed to investigated the mechanical properties of the artificial apparatus scaffold matrices grafted at rupture location. Through a custom-built radial compression test device, the deformation resistance capability in the repeat movement cycle and bending movement is tested. The tensile strength is measured in tension movement. The effect of the experiment conditions on the mechanical properties is also investigated. The experimental results show that the tensile strength, the slump resistant capability and The fatigue resistance of scaffold matrices are enhanced while decreasing the quantity ratio of collagen to chitosan and increasing the crosslinking time, but the tenacity of the scaffold matrices is reduced at the same time. Therefore the consideration of the modified process should be balanced and optimized. This study provides more insights for the possibility of using collagen/chitosan complex as the tissue regeneration scaffold.
