Based on the analysis of the relationship in the airplane engine early fault mechanism and person, machine, environment, a principle and method are proposed to identify early fault of the air engine by wavelet analysis. Its effectiveness is proved by experiment. In this paper, the method to extract early fault characteristic signal from detected signal and to extract, enlarge and identify the early fault characteristic signal with the wavelet analysis are researched. It provides a new approach to improve the safety and reliability on aircraft and enhance the ability of early fault recognition and defense.
