A novel reconfigurable load-pull measurement system, which overcomes the shortcomings of a traditional load-pull test machine such as limited function and poor expandability, is presented in this paper. This system can automatically measure different kinds of parameters in the material testing process. The measured items are force, displacement, distortion, and so on. The whole measurement system is made up of data acquisition board and embedded computer. The function of data acquisition board is sampling and generating pulse for driving module. The data acquisition module is involved with single-chip processor 77E58 and high performance 24bit A/D conversion chip AD7730. The software in the embedded computer system can collect the data in data acquisition board through RS232 interface, process the data and display the curve. The test results indicate that the constructed system not only obtains higher measure accuracy, but also realizes multiple functions combination.
