The paper talks about the technology and operations of the ultrasonic flow metering devices usingadvanced sensor technology and their possible application in fluid flow measurements. It highlights theoperations, current research, field test studies and viability of such devices for better precision andhigher accuracy in the measurement of volumetric through puts for exports and domestic consumption.Through finer precision and higher accuracy, proper accountability can be achieved and tremendouscost savings realized.
