This paper describes the amendment to ISO 16063-22 that allows secondary calibrations of accelerometers up to 200,000 g_n, the current maximum range for commercial accelerometers. The amendment increases secondary calibration amplitudes for Hopkinson bar testing from 10,000 g_n to 200,000 g_n. These calibrations may be performed by any accelerometer manufacturer or any laboratory that has responsibility for accelerometer calibration. Additionally, the amendment provides guidance for the minimum pulse duration to avoid dispersion. This amendment is approved as of June 2012 and will be considered as a final revision during the upcoming ISO TC108 Meeting scheduled in Seoul, South Korea, 2013.
