Implementing an Internet Webserver for LonWorks Powerline Network with a SoPC Platform

摘要

A cost effective webserver is developed to bridge the Internet IP based network and powerline based Lon Works network for remote home appliance control and monitoring. By means of html pages and Java applets the webserver offers a convenient human-machine interface. Users can easily access theirs home appliances through standard Web browsers without any extra plug-in software. The advantages of using powerline as the medium of data transmission and control at homes is obviously, among many standards the "open" LonWorks technology has solid system architecture suited to house control and automation systems. With the extension of this standalone webserver the LonWorks control networks can be integrated into the Internet simply.
