We have developed a testbed for groundexperiments of the quasi-zenith satellite (QZS)remote synchronization system for an on-boardcrystal oscillator (RESSOX). The testbed consistsof a ground station site and a QZS system site. The ground station site uses our time standard, UTC(NMIJ), and includes a transmitting time adjuster(TTA), a time transmitter, a QZS signal receiver, and a controller for the TTA. The QZS system siteincludes a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator(VCXO), a time receiver, a VCXO controller, and aQZS signal generator. To simulate the delaybetween the ground station and the QZS, we use ahardware delay simulator for uplink and a softwaredelay simulator for downlink. We elucidate thetestbed and the results of basic experiments.
