CARGO ASSURED ACCESS TO INTERNATIONAL SPACESTATION

Boeing's Cargo Assured Access logistics deliverysystem will provide a means to transport cargoto/from the International Space Station, Low EarthOrbit and the moon using Expendable LaunchVehicles. For Space Station, this capability willreduce cargo resupply backlog during nominaloperations (e.g., supplement Shuttle, Progress,ATV and HTV) and augment cargo resupplycapability during contingency operations (e.g.,Shuttle delay and/or unavailability of InternationalPartner launch or transfer vehicles). Thiscapability can also provide an autonomous means todeliver cargo to lunar orbit, a lunar orbit refuelingand work platform, and a contingency crew safehaven in support of NASA's new ExplorationInitiative.
