The precision agricultural development approach ofdeveloping countries (areas)

The developing countries (areas) have emergent necessity and lag economicsituation & low level technology for precision agriculture (PA) propagation. How to solve thiscontradictory problem? The necessity and feasibility for less development countries (areas)PA propagation are put forward. Precision planting, precision feeding, and precisionprocessing technical system are illustrated in details. The kernel concept and final goal of PAare increasing the efficiency and benefit of agriculture, then get sustained agriculture. In theconclusion of the paper, there are some characteristic points of view offering feasibleapproaches for PA: ①The fundamental way out for the agriculture of developing countries(areas) lies in increasing efficiency. The PA is a certain trend. ②The PA in developingcountries (areas) has to be propagated stage by stage along with benefit. ③For savingmoney, one should pay close attention to the main target of PA (scientific decision anddecreasing investment), and may start with the "last 3S"(ES-Expert System; SS-SimulationSystem; DSS-Decision Support System), then extend gradually to the "first 3S"(GPS-GlobalPositioning System; RSS-Remote Sensing System; GIS-Geographical Information System)and VRT(Variable ratio technique). ④To avoid the waste from same low level researchrepetition, the research tasks of national and local research organization should be layer-builtreasonably. ⑤For decreasing special investment and avoiding large risk, people may takethe advantage of existing greenhouse and livestock shed to start with precision planting andprecision feeding.
