The Research and Demonstration of Variable RateFertilization for Precision Agriculture

Variable Rate Fertilization (VRF) is one of the methods used in PrecisionAgriculture. A fertilization prescription by means of Analyzing soil is the foundation of VRFapplication, which is applied broadly in Jilin Province. VRF has the benefit of increasingfertilizer utilization ratio and yield, reducing pollution caused by unreasonable fertilization,and improving agriculture product quality. In this paper, Research and demonstration ofVRF for Precision Agriculture in Jilin Province were carried out using the VRF systemresearched and produced by ourselves. Soil sampling, soil nutrient analysis and VRFdecision-making were done in every unit of size 40m ×20m or 25.32m ×32.16m, inexperiment fields in Dehui city and Yushu city respectively.
