The Conformance Testing METhodology for Mobile Communication Protocols

In this paper, we use an improved remote test method in conformance testing for mobile communication protocols, after study the features of mobile communication protocol stack. Based on this improved remote test architecture, we propose a uniform conformance testing platform framework. In our framework, the high layer protocol test module is independent of the low layer protocol provider. As we model the IUT in FSM, the test case is the test sequence. We discuss two algorithms for generating test cases and for creating test case library automatically, and compare them in length of test sequence and scale of test case library. At last, we describe the implementation of the test platform.
