We designed a high transition temperature direct currentsuperconducting quantum interference device (dc SQUID) system formagnetocardiography (MCG) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). TheSQUID is a directly coupled SQUID magnetometer operated in theflux-locked loop with a magnetic field sensitivity of about 50 fT/Hz1/2. Theexperiments were carried out in an electromagnetically shielded cylinder.The biomagnetic signal can be obtained from the heart activity of the rat.The simulated magnetic field signal can be detected after 4000 times ofaveraging. The results are discussed.
