Investigation on removing SO_2 by activating water vapor or NH_3 in positive DC corona discharge has been conducted at the flow of flue gas being 65Nm~3/h. Results demonstrate that when water vapor or NH_3 is activated, SO_2 removal efficiency is obviously higher than that when they are not activated. The SO_2 removal efficiency increases with input power, and to some extent, with the flow of water vapor or humidity of the flue gas. In addition, the total SO_2 removal efficiency in pulsed corona discharge process was increased by water vapor or NE_3 activated.
