With the development of the space technology, more and more rendezvous and docking (RVD) will be performed in the space activities. The direction of the technology development is autonomous rendezvous and docking (ARVD), namely the course of rendezvous and docking depend on the equipment on board rather than the tracking, telemetering and control station on the earth. Obtaining the information of motional state between the two spacecrafts autonomously is an important technology of ARVD. Especially the motional information obtaining of a non-cooperative spacecraft play a crucial role in the space rescue. Aimed at this subject, a method to obtain the motional state of a non-cooperative spacecraft based on the Modern Time Series Method is investigated. The applying of the Modern Time Series Method in the obtaining of the information of motional state between the two spacecrafts is researched. And a new estimation method for obtaining the motional information based on the Modern Time Series Method is proposed. Then the simulation of this algorithm is raised, and the result shows the validity of the estimate method based on the Modern Time Series Method and its value in the application of the space engineering.
