The paper is a case history discussion regarding the use of a temporary movablebridge as part of the reconstruction of the Fore River Bascule Bridge located onRoute 3A in Towns of Quincy and Weymouth Massachusetts.The case historywill also discuss the change in design life of the temporary bridge after the awardfrom 5 years of service to 15 - 20 years and its impact to the design andconstruction schedule.
