THE NEW CONSTRUCTION OF FLOTATION MACHINE FOR COAL PROCESSING PLANTS

The paper presents new flotation machines for flotation coal..The main idea of thesolution — new construction of aerators (devices for air dispersion),is described.Thedescription covers results of application of various types of flotation machines.It has beenfound out that the machines presented in the paper constitute a modern solution both in thearea of aerator and the cell constructions.The machines for flash flotation are designed forflotation of thick-grained materials and material of high pulp density.The machines for mainand cleaning flotation are equipped with a special system of runners in radial arrangement forbetter transportation of froth product.Automatic control systems stabilise flotation processconditions,maintain at the established level values of basic parameters such as level offlotation pulp in the machine,volume of the air,density and volume of the fed material.Anew philosophy in design of the machines is presented: instead of designing a series ofmachine types where cell capacity changes in steps,flotation machines of a specific cellcapacity design is proposed,optimised to meet specific needs of a user.Such approach canresult in greatest operating and investment advantages in situations where modernisation ofan ore beneficiation plant takes place.
