The spray-dried techniques are applied to the forming of dry regenerable sorbents for CO CO2capture from flue gas.During the sorbent screening with alkali metal carbonate,the threedifferent formulations each contained 50,30,and 20 wt% NaNa2CO CO3 were spray-dried and oneof them were scaled-up by a factor of 8.The physical properties of all four sorbents werecharacterized in terms of shape,size and size distribution,bulk density,and attrition resistanceetc.The TGA chemical reactivities of sorbents were also investigated.One formulationdesignated to Sorb N2C showed the promising physical properties that is really compatible tothe expected commercial requirements of a fluidized-bed COCO2 capture process.However,theTGA capture capacities of sorbents studied here markedly decreased from 58% to 9% of thetheoretical capture capacity of each sorbent,which closely correlated to the amount of activecomponent.
