Research on Predicting High Permeability Region ofCoalbed Methane Reservoir

One of the main factor to restrict cbm output in China is the lowpermeability of coal reservior. In accordance with the main contradictionsbetween high rank of coal metamorphism and low permeability of coal bed, thispaper predicts high permeability region by use of new technique and methodsincluding stress field, curvature analysis and major stress difference analysis.Industrial CBM production in Jinshi No.1 well district and Tunliu district is thebest verification of the research achievement.
