摘要

The REMEDIA? catalytic filter system is highly effective for both dioxin and particulateremoval. The system oxidizes PCDD/F in flue gas and converts the toxic compounds to traceamounts of water, carbon dioxide, and HCl. In this paper, the performances of four hazardouswaste incinerators equipped with the REMEDIA catalytic filter system are presented. TheREMEDIA catalytic filter system is effective in reducing the PCDD/F emission at the baghouseoutlet of each plant to below 0.1 ng TEQ/Nm3. In some cases, when a wet scrubber for acidremoval existed downstream of the baghouse, a higher dioxin emission at the stack was found,due to the desorption of PCDD/F from the wet scrubber system. Results show that after theREMEDIA catalytic filter system was installed in the baghouse, the emission level of PCDD/F atthe stack decreased steadily over time.
