In this paper, we propose a hybrid transmit diversity scheme which combines transmit adaptive array (TxAA) and pre-Rake scheme for downlink of multi-input single-output (MISO) wireless CDMA systems. The proposed scheme utilizes optimum transmit antenna weight and pre-Rake filter coefficients which maximize signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the TxAA-only and pre-Rake-only systems as the number of transmit antennas increases, in particular for the channels whose multi-path components take different average powers.
