A novel grafted acrylamide (AAm) acacia gum polymer was prepared and tableted by incorporating diltiazem hydrochloride (DIL). The in-vitro release studies have been performed in distilled water to assess its release characteristics. The amount of AAm present in the matrix had an influence on release time. Drug release was found to be controlled by erosion.
