Efficient Solution Technique for a Multi-Dimensional Population Balance Model Describing Granulation Processes

摘要

An eificient and novel solution technique is presented for solving multi-dimensional population balance models. In addition to overcoming any stiffness in the original system, the algorithm also reduces the computational load by proposing analytical solutions for the aggregation quadratures (oittine calculations performed once at the start of the simulation). The new technique gives very good solution times, which render offiine studies on these complex processes feasible.
