Three methods: the extrapolation method, the optical pyrometry and the fibre optical fluorescence thermometry are compared in two sets for the determination of undisturbed surface temperatures. The comparison between the extrapolation method and the radiometric method were performed in the temperature range from 50 °C to 150 °C. The obtained results agree within the expanded uncertainties (k = 2) of the methods. The results of the comparison between the extrapolation method and the fibre optic fluorescence technique in the temperature range from 50 °C to 90 °C show a good agreement within the expanded uncertainties (k = 2).
