Challenges in Control Room Design: An Overview

摘要

This paper explores the issues behind several of the most critical challenges facing control roomdesign, including lighting, communication and functionality, control room location, situational awareness,and shift-work fatigue. In addition, this paper describes some of the solutions that control room designershave developed in response to each challenge. This paper concludes with a look at the control room of thefuture and how it will utilize the technologies of the new century.
