摘要

The measurement of solid suspensions in fluid is discussed with reference to existing optic methods (turbidimetry). Merits and flaws of the present standard for turbidity measurements are discussed. A method for a deeper characterisation of solid suspensions in fluid, based on multi-angular scattering measurements is presented. A simple model for experimental data interpretation is developed. Results of the model are compared with measures performed on monodisperse particulates.
