THE STUDY OF DISTRIBUTION CHARACTERISTICS OF ISLANDS, REEFS, BANKSAND SHOALS USING THE REMOTELY SENSED DATA

摘要

The general computer processing methods of TM data of islands, reefs,banks, shoals are studied and the TM images are interpreted. In the past, it isdifficult to measure and map in the so broad sea area using normal ways,especially, aerial photography survey. At present, the TM images can cover alarge area and easily to be acquired and processed in computer. So theenhancement, geometry rectification and multi-scenes mosaic are conducted inthe research, islands, reefs, banks, and shoals are located and mapped in largearea of the sea by auto-interpretation system. Meanwhile, the origin and theevolution of the islands, reefs, banks, and shoals in the South China Sea isdiscussed applying above-mentioned TM images combination with the data ofsea satellite.
