DEONTIC AGENCY LOGIC FOR REPRESENTING THE KNOWLEDGE OF NORMATIVE INTELLIGENT AGENTS

摘要

This paper is based on the notion that organisations can be improved by using artificial agents to help human agents in routine functions. Organisations are seen as essentially normative systems. Therefore, to adequately create normative intelligent artificial agents they need to be formalised using adequate knowledge representation paradigms. This paper proposes a combination of agency logic and deontic logic to achieve this objective. It is shown how typical multi-agent interactions such as delegation can be represented using the proposed knowledge representation paradigm.
