With the development of distributed network technologies, cooperative design is becoming an effective way in product CAD. To reduce the product development cycle, satisfy the product requirement of distributed cooperative design, the concepts of multi-agent have been introduced in this paper. On this base, the structure model of product cooperative CAD system and its cooperative method is presented, the communication performative between agents are extended and the cooperative working process is described, then an example of transmissin system CAD is used to illustrate this system.
