IMAGE COMPRESSION USING THE WAVELET ANALYSIS

摘要

This present article considers the features of subimage data from image that conducted wavelet transform, also proposes a new encoding scheme for data compression and vector quantization. This scheme uses the relativity of every subband data after wavelet transformation, then classifies and locates the other subband data by detection to baseband data, lastly conducts classified vector quantization coding to classified data, so as to actualize efficient data compression and regain better recovered image.
