Quard7, a new adjuvant produced by AGSCO Company of America, could greatly increase weed control performance of many post-emergence herbicides. In this study, the influence of Quard7 on effectiveness of three herbicides was tested in field plot trials to evaluate its utilization perspective in Liaoning Province of China. The results showed that control efficacy of nicosulfuron (17.5 g/hm~2) + Quard7 (1% spraying volume) against Echinochloa crus-galli, Abutilon theophrasti and Commelina communis in maize field were significantly higher than that of nicosulfuron applied alone at 17.5 g/hm~2, and similar to that of nicosulfuron alone at 35 g/hm~2. The control efficacy of imazethapyr (35.5 g/hm~2) + Quard7 (1% spraying volume) against E. crus-galli, A. theophrasti and Polygonum bungeanum in soybean field were significantly higher than that of imazethapyr at 35.5 g/hm~2, and were not significantly different from that of imazethapyr at 56 g/hm~2. Quard7 also distinctly enhanced E. crus-galli control in soybean field with sethoxydim. However, Quard7 did not aggravate injury of the herbicides to the crops tested. It was obvious that Quaud7 could markedly decrease the doses of nicosulfuron, imazethapyr and sethoxydim, which was beneficial to decreasing environment pollution and delaying herbicide resistance etc.
