COMPLEXITY AND INFORMATION IN DATA

摘要

In this paper we describe recent results in model building and selection based on a formal definition of complexity and information in a given data sequence. This permits a decomposition of data into the information bearing part and noise and a similar parameter free sufficient statistics factorization of a model which is universal for a parametric class.
