Calculation of Critical Compressive Forces for Stepped Columns

摘要

The stepped columns are extensively applied to the various engineering fields, but the critical compressive forces for this sort of columns was usually computed by the numerical method. In this paper, we use analytical method to derive the equation of critical force for stepped column and give out the simple expression of the critical force and the table of stability coefficients. These problems are solved fast and accurately.
