General physical field equations of electromagnetic field, fluid, temperature field, displacement field that applied to non-conservative system are derived in this paper. Heat transfer coefficients are obtained by synthesizing fluid field calculation, model test, and several years' experience. Afterward temperatures in different parts are calculated by FEM of three dimensional temperature fields. Then structure deformation and heat stress are calculated according to the calculation result of temperature field and electromagnetic force. The calculation results are modified by the test of model and prototype. By this way we can eliminate local overheat and heat deformation by improving generator's structure. The work sets a basis for the design and development of Three Gorges generators. It is of important meanings to the safely and economic operation of Three Gorges generators. General physical field model of electromagnetic field, fluid field, temperature field, and displacement field is derived by analogue theory and principle of duality. By this model computation were made on Three Gorges machine and the prototype. Comparisons were made between calculation and test of prototype.
