摘要

The science community of complex plasma physics grew fast since the invention of regular structures formed by microparticles inside plasma environments. The most irregular status of matter could now be investigated on kinetic levels improving the understanding of physical processes in the plasma. In analogy to the crystal structures in solids, plasma crystals can be formed inside the plasma reactor leading to new insights into the formation and behavior of matter. Further research topics include among others phase transitions and wave propagation.
