Across the country, colleges, universities, hospitals, and institutional campuses areexperiencing dynamic growth. Those campuses that depend on central chilled waterplants must respond to this growth to adequately satisfy its users. Many are oftenconstrained both physically and financially from expanding the existing plants and mustbe creative about producing more tonnage with limited means. This paper investigatesseveral real case histories of innovative district cooling plants that increased outputwithout increasing in size.
