Escalating fuel prices are driving up steam generating costs and causing steam users to re-exploreeconomic and energy saving options. One such option is properly installed and maintained steamtraps. Until now, steam trap testing has been time consuming and labor intensive. This paperdescribes the latest applied telemetry technology to continuously monitor steam trapperformance and how collected data is transmitted, analyzed and unitized by management toeffect a more efficient steam system.
